Black Friday & Cyber Monday for Spas: 10 Simple Ideas to Get Your Share

Black Friday & Cyber Monday for Spas: 10 Simple Ideas to Get Your Share

Don't compete with Amazon.
Win with value.

Don't let Black Friday pass your spa by.

You became an esthetician or spa owner to do treatments, not to run marketing campaigns. That's okay. You don't need to be a marketing expert to win Black Friday and Cyber Monday. You need a simple plan and a few messages you can copy.

That's what this guide is: 10 ideas, in plain steps, that you can start this week.

In a hurry? Do just these 3 things

  1. Make a VIP list. This month, ask every client: “Want first access to our Black Friday offer?” Write down their name and phone number or email.
  2. Choose ONE offer. The easiest one is a gift card with a bonus. Buy $100, get $120.
  3. Send 3 messages. One on Nov 25 (VIPs first), one on Black Friday (Nov 27), and one on Cyber Monday (Nov 30).

That is a real Black Friday plan. Everything below just makes it bigger.

A Spa Plays a Different Game Than Amazon

You can't beat big stores on price, and you don't have to. You have what they don't:

  • Trust. Your clients know you and your work.
  • Expertise. You know which treatment fits each person.
  • Limited hours. Each hour in your treatment room can only be sold once.

So the goal is not to lower your prices. The goal is to win with value and get your clients to book early. Shoppers start early too: Klaviyo research found that 17% of holiday shoppers begin buying gifts in October.

The “Win With Value” Rule

Before any offer, ask yourself one question: “Am I adding value, or just cutting my price?”

Value is anything your client feels is worth more than what she paid. Here are 4 easy ways to add it:

  • Early access. Your VIP clients shop first.
  • A gift. A mini product, a bonus or a small surprise.
  • Convenience. A ready-to-go series or gift box, so she doesn't have to think about it.
  • A personal touch. A message with her name, a handwritten note, a recommendation made just for her.

If your idea fits one of these four, you are winning with value. Every idea below does.

10 Simple Ideas to Get Your Share of Black Friday

Get ready (this week)

1. Start your VIP list.
What to do: Put a sign-up sheet or a QR code at your front desk, and ask at every checkout. Give a reason to join: early access, 48 hours before everyone else.
Say this: “Can I add you to our VIP list? You'll get our holiday offers first.”
Tip: Ask separately if you may send text messages or WhatsApp.

2. Give a gift, not a discount.
What to do: Before you lower any price, subtract your cost.
Example: A $100 product that costs you $50 earns you $50. At 20% off, it earns only $30. But if you sell it at full price and add a $5 mini as a gift, you still earn $45. Gifts protect your profit. Discounts shrink it.

3. Set a limit.
What to do: Decide how many packages you can really serve. Count the open hours you can give in January and February, then divide by the hours in each package.
Example: 60 open hours divided by a 4-session package means 15 packages. When they're gone, tell your clients: “Sold out!” It builds excitement for next time.

Get paid now, serve later

4. Gift card with a bonus.
What to do: Buy $100, get $120. Make the $20 bonus valid only from January 2 to February 28, so it doesn't take spots away from your busy December. Write the dates clearly on the card or receipt.

5. Treatment series.
What to do: Offer 4 sessions of your best-selling treatment, priced a little lower per session than a single visit. Your client commits to results, and your calendar fills. Need help building one? Read our guide to treatment bundles that increase revenue.

6. Founding-member membership.
What to do: Use Black Friday week to launch a monthly membership. Give a special benefit to the first members, such as a free add-on in their first month. Our spa membership guide shows you how, step by step.

Sell products without cutting your prices

7. Spend & Unlock.
What to do: Reward bigger purchases with gifts. Spend $75, get a mini. Spend $150, get a second product. Spend $250, get a bonus kit.

8. Take-Home Ritual Box.
What to do: Put together one treatment plus 2 or 3 products that continue it at home. Add a ribbon and a small card that says how to use each product. It sells as a gift and helps clients keep their results. Our retail and home care products are made for this.

9. Special product price with a treatment.
What to do: Offer the special retail price only when the client books a treatment.
Say this: “Today's product special is for clients who book a treatment.” Your calendar fills and your service income stays protected.

Make it an event

10. Run Black Friday Week, not a one-day sale.
What to do: Five days, five small offers. More chances for clients to say yes, and you only need one short message each day.

Copy-and-Paste Messages

Replace the words in [brackets] and send. Short messages work best.

VIP Eve text (Nov 25):
[Spa Name]: VIP early access is open 💜 Gift cards + packages, before everyone else. Spots are limited: [link]. Reply STOP to opt out.

Last-call text (Nov 30):
[Spa Name]: Last call. Our Cyber Monday offers end tonight at midnight 💜 [link]. Reply STOP to opt out.

WhatsApp to a loyal client:
Hi Maria! 💜 You're one of our VIP clients, so I wanted you to see this first. Our Black Friday gift cards and packages open to you today. I saved you a spot: [link]. Want me to hold a January appointment?

Instagram story:
“Tomorrow, 9am. VIP list only. Link in bio to get on it 💜”

Front desk sentence (from Nov 1):
“Before you go, we're doing something special for our clients on Black Friday. Can I add you to the VIP list so you get it first?”

Email subject lines to try:

  • Your VIP early access starts tonight 💜
  • The gift that books your January appointment
  • 5 days. 5 offers. Black Friday Week at [Spa Name]
  • Last call: this ends at midnight
  • Bring a friend, you both win

Your Simple Countdown

  • This week: choose your offers and your limit. Start the VIP list.
  • By Oct 25: write your gift card dates and terms. Order any products or boxes you need.
  • By Nov 1: start saying the front desk sentence to every client.
  • By Nov 20: write your messages and test every link.
  • Nov 25 to 30: follow the 5-day table.
  • January and February: welcome your clients back and use the bonuses.

3 Simple Rules Before You Send

This is general information, not legal advice. Rules vary by state.

  • Get permission before you send marketing texts or WhatsApp messages, and always give a way to stop, such as “Reply STOP.”
  • Write your gift card and package terms clearly: dates, what's included, and what happens if plans change. Check your state's rules on gift card expiration.
  • Promise experiences, not guaranteed results. Never promise guaranteed fat loss or medical results, and use before-and-after photos only with the client's written permission.

How to Know It Worked

Write down four numbers after Cyber Monday:

  • How many people joined your VIP list
  • How many gift cards, packages or boxes you sold
  • Which message got the most sales (text, email or Instagram)
  • In February, how many clients used their bonus

Next year's plan starts from these numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “win with value” mean for a spa on Black Friday?

It means giving clients more reasons to buy without simply lowering your prices. Early access, a gift, a ready-to-go package and a personal message all add value while protecting your profit.

Do I need to offer discounts on Black Friday?

No. Bonuses, gifts with purchase and early access create excitement and protect your profit. If you do discount, choose only a few items and check your profit first.

What is the easiest Black Friday offer for a spa?

A gift card with a bonus. For example, buy $100, get $120, with the bonus valid in January and February. It's simple to explain and easy to set up.

When should I start?

Start your VIP list this week, and announce your dates in early November. Give VIP clients access about 48 hours before everyone else.

Do I need a website to sell on Cyber Monday?

No. A simple link in your Instagram bio to a page or payment link for gift cards works. What matters is that clients can buy without calling you.

What if I only have time for one idea?

Start the VIP list and run one gift card offer. Send three messages. That alone puts you ahead of most spas.

🌟 Your Share Is Waiting

Black Friday and Cyber Monday will happen with or without your spa. The spas that benefit are not the ones with the biggest discounts. They are the ones that win with value, decided early, kept it simple and told their clients first.

Pick one offer, start your VIP list, and write down your three message dates. That's it. You can do this, and your clients will thank you for the gift of a good plan.

Don't compete with Amazon. Win with value.
